Tell me this that you say will happen,
Just lie over and over again.
I always knew,
That you are going to make me a promise that you will never keep.

Take me,
Break me,
Tell me another lie.
Just so you feel better about yourself.

You always say I am just a pushover,
A worthless being.
Never serious,
Never really in reality.

So you tell me lies,
Call them promises.
You break them all,
Just another way people are cruel.

I take it that you think I am a push over,
Or just a gulible person.
I am just lost in my thoughts,
Therefore I just smile and nod.

Sometimes I hate it when you lie,
Make promises you can never keep.
You always are making me promises,
That you can never keep.

I always wanted to trust someone,
Have someone who cares about me,
But everyone I thought that way,
Always made me promises they can never keep.
