Poem by: Murnit
HUMPTY DUMPTY SAT ON THE WALL
Was he able to get off, or just not wanting to?
A dangerous world down there, whats an egg to do?
But how does one live a life perched up here above?
While the world passes you by, the hatred, but also the love?
Humpty looked around to see the other Eggs as they are
watching , observing, living as he does, from afar
A new thought flashed and he grabbed hold of it
Knowing he no longer needs the wall where they sit
He wanted to be down there and have a life
Perhaps have little egg-lets with his round eggy wife
So Humpty did what most of us might do
He thought about the consquences , but just for a moment or two
And then he felt bold, invincible and strong
This decision so vivid it could not be wrong
And off the wall Humpty then leapt
Claiming his freedom from the wall that has kept
him from living a life and he plunged to the ground
Where at the end of the rhyme only pieces of him was found
HUMPTY DUMPTY HAD A GREAT FALL
AND ALL THE KINGS HORSES AND ALL THE KINGS MEN
COULD NOT PUT HUMPTY DUMPTY TOGETHER AGAIN
