This poem is about a specific bombing incident that occurred on Feb 16, 2013. I was in class with my students in our English language academy. Suddenly a tank full of liquid explosive exploded that killed hundreds of people and left many injured. It occurred very close to the academy that broke our windows but we survived, I saw dead bodies and people rushing, screaming, and crying for the million loss of our loved ones just vecause of who they are.

February 16 Incident

Saturday 16th’s vivacious evening

With slurps of tea and my walk

Straight ahead in dusty walk

Voices of joy drummed my ears

They bargained. sold, and purchased

I taught them peace with words

Carved their belief with pen

Hide in covers of death

He approached (to) our blind imagination

His noise tore my ears

Broken windows of my classroom

Died of restless war

Bodies of life were torn in ashes

Heard ones were now dumb

Breathless bodies lay around me

I could still breath my frozen breaths

I walked home

Over red dyed roads

My mom ran distances for fear

Of me dead or frozen to life

Meaning of words

The  = taliban

His noise = explosion

bodies of life = people
