How would a world be, if there were no money?

I imagine a world,
A world without money
I see people in it,
People without any worry

Kids grow up,
only when they want to
I see people cry,
only when they have to

I see dream filled faces,
faces without any pain
I see rainbows,
rainbows without any rain

There are no jobs,
there are no salary
Everybody is busy,
making their own gallery

There is no race,
everybody is walking
There are no secrets,
everybody is talking

I imagine a world,
A world without money

Hmmm I like this poem!
But without money, life would not go on =)
I like the format of this poem and the idyllic image it creates. That would be such an awesome world =)

A perfect society where we have no worries. A dream to dream. Good poem.

I like this poem :) Although I think money is a very important element of modern life, even if it is stressful and confusing. Well done :)

You know what? I sometimes imagine the world without money. And without money, there will be less crimes. There will be few, if not no one, who will struggle just to provide food on the table for three times a day. But sadly, we cannot change it for money is the foundation of our society and without it, a country, no matter how stabilized it is, cannot acquire resources from other countries without money. ;)

But this is very well done. This poem was short, but it really makes sense. I admire you because you really know how to squeeze your words to be able for it to make sense. You really know your style very well.

I was thinking if you could also check out my novel, Love Wars? I'm really psyched to know what a great poet like you would think :D

XOXO,
Liza R.

I appreciate your comments. Finally someone really found some sense in this poem. ha ha. I had started reading Love Wars some time back, but could not complete it. Will definitely do. And yes I am not a "great poet" as yet :P I am glad you liked my poem. :)

Hmm. Money is a medium of exchange, just a thing neither good nor bad. It's the importance we attach to it that makes it one or the other. Usually the other. Greed is the real enemy, and one can be greedy for a lot of things. Some are greedy for food, many are greedy for wealth, power, pleasure or fame. Without greed, money goes back to just being a medium of exchange. Like the old tune by Metallica: "I want that star/I want it now/I want it all and I don't care how."
