It's funny
how I planted this flower
this forgetme not
when ever I thought you forgot
When I thought you forgot how I smell
or how I "ware it well"
or just how I could have smiled
Just as I thought you'd forgotten about me
I planted a seed
to keep me fresh in the
of everything you see
I couldnt breethe if you forgot about me.
Its funny
how all that time
you fought the feelings
and now were working
to make this thing grow.
Its funny
how now I have you
I still wonder if having you is all its cracked up to be
if you really still even remember me.
I've got an extra pack of seeds
just in case I should have to remind you again
of how thoughtful I am
how caring and loving and sensitive
and how warm my bed is.
When my forgetme nots bloom
I'll cut them fresh for you.
I'll find the most handsome vase
and place them in front of you.
Please see them
and smell them
and look at them every day
Because i want you to remember
My love in every way.
