You lie in bed at night and try not to think of her. You try to block out that thought that she doesn't love you and that you will never feel her kiss or hold her hand. But that thought is a dark beast in your head. The pain overtakes you and you slip in to this urge to quit living. You try to forget, you try to find the road to happiness, but then you get knocked back down to a path lower then the one you were on before. If only there was someone else, someone that I could hold on to as they carried me to the peak of mount happy. But there is no one. You are alone on this journey. No one to hold your hand and tell you that you will be okay. There is only cold, darkness. It's going to hurt, and you might not make it, but at the end of this dirty, forgotten tunnel, you will find light. Maybe it won't be the brightest light. Maybe it won't be the warmest light. But the contrast between this light and the darkness you are in will be so bright that all you can do is dive into it and thrive in it. Live forever in the light.
