I think this is quite emotive and personal...the second piece I've written in a long time. Enjoy!

Ana Says.

Ana says listen,
I don’t tell you lies.
You need me.
I can see it in your eyes.

Ana says look,
what do you see?
all those imperfections…
I’ll fix you. Trust me.

Ana says no,
or you’ll stay fat.
Put that down, darling
you don’t need that.

Ana says lie,
they won’t understand.
They are out enemy.
I’ll protect you. I’m your friend.

Ana says if it hurts it
only lasts a while.
Isn’t it worth it?
Yes? Darling, smile.

Ana says look,
see how you’ve changed?
I see your bones.
See what you’ve gained?

Ana says I’m beautiful,
You glow, darling, I’m so proud.
But…Ana’s smile fades.
More imperfectionfound.
