Blindness
13/1/12

Stumble,
for your eyes, sewn tightly shut
by many sloppy stitches
set through ignorance
remain unable to lead you

Tense,
for the cane swollen by your
ineptitude leaves you
vulnerable and empty; hear it
abandon you for concrete

Stiffen,
for the cold void swallows you
deep into its stomach
then gags on the weight of
your stitched eyes

Tremble,
for hands, secure and warm
descend; and you with your black
incompetence retreat
pressing further into the tar

Suffer,
in your blindness
while sore eyes weakly leak
droplets of emptiness
twined by frayed thread
