I'm here sitting next to you; But I don't feel it, My heart it jerks in two different ways, This pain I can't bear, Holding all I can, I give up... Watching you walk away from my life; Without a care, I'm not here, No, I'm in a different place, A different time, My heart no longer whole, No longer here, I've become numb to your knife like words, As I reach out to you I notice you Were never here, You were in a different place All along, You were under this stone, When you left, I died; my heart's ragged beats are stopped, And all I can do now is walk like The zombie I really am, As I sit here crying on this stone, I think of your face, And for once in my life I'm smiling, 'Cause I'm in A different place.
