lying flat

on my back

eyes fixed towards the sky

ceiling is all i see

as pictures float across

the room

reflections from the crackle

of candlelight

revealing

heart racing

beats escaping

my body

tall tale of my emotional state

my mental intent

needing to be saved

from this drifting away

drifting

slowly slipping

an ocean

of desire

passions

electricity

fire

do not act

do not react

leave the moment

cold

don't console

please DO not embrace

this guilt ridden body

life has taken a turn

a two way street

which?

leads to the devourment

of something already there

someone already in place

im falling

needing this moment

this special place

the closeness

the intimacy that's there

without that touch

the connection in

our stairs

eye to I

eye feel you

i close my eyes as I fall slowly

please don't catch me

let me fall

feeling my heart break

to have a marker

to detour from this route

help me

I need to stop

moving closer to you

to this dangerous place

called us

rebelliously taken all of you

selfishly holding on to you

taking your breath away

stealing your life away

as we sway

with no thought

of others

caught in the presence

of now

no thought of the future

enjoying you in me

and the ME in us

don't let me go there soulishly

turn your back

and walk away

let me drift alone

so I can break free
