Clean White Walls

Surround me on all sides.

I’m afraid to touch them-

They burn.

Others leave one by one,

We disappear ‘till all are gone.

God only knows where we will go,

But He will not tell us.

He has abandoned us.

A Wicked Woman

Collects friends from their sanctums;

She pulls them to the room of Hell

Or Heaven.

Red camellias gather in a heap

On the white floor,

Clipped from their life-bringing stems.

Clean White Walls

Surround me on all sides.

I have not been chosen yet,

But I can’t wait for my turn.
