The world is a tough place a rat race every man or woman for themselves

Try to get things and go places with some milk and honey

The hard truth is sometimes that just isn’t enough

Eventually you’re supposed to grow up and your parents grow old

And sooner or later if you don’t have a real job the sugary sweet stuff runs out

This is when you learn that you are just a burden a parasite

Out of desperation you learn to bite, scratch, punch, and kick

Not only hurting people around but also damaging your own self

You lose parts of yourself you age and think where has my life gone

Why am I still at the bottom of this mountain called life?

Why have I gone to all this trouble with education if I never get a job to use it

Was the schooling a big expensive waste? What did it even teach me?

Well it taught me that I am not wanted for I have nothing to offer

Yeah after 25 years of schooling I have book smart I am excellent at that

But that doesn't help me with work smart or grow the fuck up smart

You can believe with all your heart that you are climbing that mountain

But then at end of the day you end up with a large dug up hole

Only to realize you were holding a shovel the time
