I'm lost withou a trace,

Hoping for things to go back the way they were.

But I know I can't get back what I've lost.

The past is over and never coming back.

Happiness is a fading dream,

That I'm starting to wake from.

Why is it I feel so alone,

When I'm surrounded by people?

Because none of them care.

They just look at me and go about their day.

I'm waiting for a sign,

That will point me to the light,

And show me the way out of this endless night.

Where has the love gone?

Why must good things always end,

When the bad things remain forever?

I'm trying to hold on,

As long as I can.

Just waiting to hear your voice,

Tell me what I've been waiting to hear my whole life.

I'm lost in this nightmare,

Praying that you will return,

To giude me like you once did.

I dream every night,

Of the days when we used to be together.

This hopeless dream I alone.

Thinking that maybe someday I will find my place.

I'm trying with all my strength,

To prove them all wrong.

But I can't seem to find the way,

Without someone to guide me.

You promise you'll be there when I need you,

But your presence is fading,

And I can't feel you there.

I scream out for you,

But you never come.

I'm waiting,

To hear the words that will finally break this spell on me.

I've heard them once before,

But the spell was too strong then.

It's weakening now.

I need someone to break the spell,

Before it gains back it's strength.

I know that this night can't last forever.

There's no such thing as endless night...is there?

I know there must be a light at the end of the tunnel.

I will find a way to set things right.

I know the sun must rise eventually,

No matter how long the night may seem.

I can feel in my heart,

That I will feel you in my arms again.

Someday I will be able to embrace happiness again,

And look them in the eye,

And feel like I am worth something to them.

Even though I can't see the end of the road,

I know it's there.

There will be a few twists, turns, and bumps,

But I know the road will straighten out eventually.

I'll be able to hear your voice in my heart,

Guiding me once again.

The sun must soon rise,

For there is no such thing,

As an endless night.
