I see you, but do you see me?

Not that way I want you to.

You don't know the truth.

If only I could tell you,

What's been on my mind.

I've hid it from the world for so long,

And I know you would understand.

What am I afraid of?

What harm will come of telling you the truth?

I'm scared that you will turn away,

And never look at me the same.

I'm afraif that if I tell you,

About this poison in my viens,

That you'll turn and leave,

Without a look back.

Can't you see what's happening to me?

I fake every smile and force back my tears.

I try to tell you,

But the words won't come.

I'm losing my mind.

I know you're right there.

I could tell you anytime.

But I'm afraid to scare you away.

How did this happen?

When did I go wrong?

I see you beside me and remember,

How things used to be.

Why can't I just say it,

And let you know the truth.

Maybe then you'd understand.

WIll we have to start back form the begining,

When our trust had once been so strong.

Will we have to start over again,

From when I hardly knew you.

I'd trust you with my life,

So why can't I make the words come out?

Do you trust me?

Would you tell me the truth if I did the same.

I have to break down these walls,

And tell you the unseen truth.
