Dance with me Daddy

Since the day I was born, you held me warm in your hands.
You made sure I was safe
like no one else could take me away from you.
You made sure no one do.

Remember the day when you taught me how to ride my bike,
your strong arms around me and
your big hands cover my tiny ones.
You told me to paddle and paddle then you let me go.

Then I yelled "I'm doing it daddy"
for sometime I felt like a bird flying
But you have to run after to me
because I couldn't stop

But today, dance with me daddy.

Daddy tonight is special.
Dance with me under the moonlight.
Pull me close into your arms and dance with me daddy.

Make me feel protected again
the same way when I was little
but daddy the thing is, I’m not little anymore

Just dance with me daddy and never let go.

I remember the days when we used to play
when we used to do everything together
when I ran into your arms every time you arrive home.
When you teach me math and helped me love it.

I miss those days.
The memories we made, I all cherished them.

Remember the day when I left and
decided to study abroad
Even if it was so hard for you
you let me go and live my life

You believed in me and stayed strong.
When I hugged you goodbye, I felt your sadness.
When I entered the airport gate
you watched me walked away with pain in your eyes

You tried to call me
but the network went bad.
And it was the last time
you saw me wave goodbye.

Daddy you will always be the first man I loved and forever will.
Forget about the other days.
Focus on this moment daddy,
just you and me, dancing.

Mommy will always be your queen
and I will always be your princess
And tonight, just dance with me daddy
