Naught but Silence

It drags on and on

An occasional noise or two

A time to calm one’s self down

To think about the day they’ve been through

No distractions or sound

Just the heart against your chest

A buzzing in your ears

But nothing, nonetheless

Intertwined musical

For a few seconds more

And then the beauty

Disturbed, thrown at the floor
