Exacution

Poem by: Naomi Folettia

Summary

From the point of view of the person who is going to be exacuted. Possibly in the ancient days of Europe. People in those days made a show, an entertainment, out of the exacution.

They were grateful

I wasn’t

They welcomed me in

and loved me

I hated them

They gave me an important place

and showed my “greatness” to everyone

I could care less

They showed me a beautiful knife

and gave it to me

I didn’t want it
