We are mankind, and we are condemned

To walk a life of questions, which will never end.

Born to die? That seems absurd

Though born to live on through others is the best I've heard.

We bleed until our souls are rotten,

Fight until we are forgotten

Until we're buried in an earth that's sodden.

With knowing what will come again.

What is life, if it's not just.

Yet, death comes to all of us,

Replace the earth, with what we took

Some would ask if that's enough.

So like the story of the dragonfly,

Listen not,  just live your life

Turn your cheek and never lie,

Too much to ask?

I'm not surprised.
