Poem about lovers intertwined.

he was the ocean

 and she was the shore

  tracing the sand,

at spacedust they tore

let me be yours, she said

lead me astray

take me and break me

and wash me away

his name was salt

 it stuck to her tongue

  and his voice was air

in her little black lungs

I love how you love she said

give me a kiss

I’ll follow you down

to the blackened abyss

and so there it was

 at the bottom they met

  the blue and the brown

a lonely vignette

I will not take you

Or wash you away

You were not meant

To be loved in that way

you hold me up

 and I’ll be your anchor

  we’ll make up the world,

we’ll make up the world…
