Tormented souls

Brick by brick we build it up, that wall to hide ourselves

Held together with years of hurt, as if we can hurt no more

To hide behind when times get tough, and the sun forgets to rise

Shelterd in our private garden, where winter seems to lie

Huddled little tormented souls, running from the world

Unable to let someone in, to trust a living thing

No love to wrap and warm the heart, to love would mean to trust

To trust would mean to break that wall, and finally let them in

But it took years and years of brick by brick, and can not come down today

But please I'll give you this only key, to open the gate of ME.
