Do you remember
the day we stood under the arch of love
and exchanged the vows we wrote together
You promised to stick by me no matter what happens
I swore to love you right even if the world crumbles
Everyone believed our vows
so did I
but never have I thought
you would vow a lie
that sounds so mellifluous
that seems so beautiful
in front of my face
We created many happy memories together
Those were the moments I'll cherish forever
but will you?
For once I thought I was the luckiest man
For once I thought I was truly loved
For once I thought I finally found the right one
But you proved me wrong
Shortly after reality checks in
you met him, by chance
You stopped coming home early
You stopped listening to me
I looked you in the eye
all I can see are a vast amount of fear
and a colossal pool of lies
That moment I wonder,
could you have stopped loving me as well?
I stood under the rain, discreetly
as I watched him put a spoonful of soup into your mouth
I watched him peel off his jacket
and covered it on your shoulder
as you and him exited the cafe
You got into his car
and kissed him the way you'd never kissed me
I was drenched with rainwater
heartbroken and abandoned.
You argued that I have no rights to stalk you
you don't have the rights to toy with my feelings
How did we get here?
From I do,
to you don't
what have I done wrong
am I not good enough for you?
I swore to love you right
and I did not break my promise
You vowed to stand by me
but now you stood by him
All that I want, all that I desire
is your undivided affection
all that you've done
is giving him all your heart
and replacing me with him
because I've done my part right
as a loving and faithful spouse
but it grieves my soul to ask,
