Just an entry on some thoughts I have had lately.

So the last few weeks I have been studying philosophy reading some books and doing a lot of thinking. We all wonder what the purpose in life is, about God and everything in between. But what if there is no purpose? We make our own happiness and our own purpose. Most of the philosophers works I have been reading basically say what I have already been saying \"perception is key\". If we weren't here in our conscious minds to witness objects and things, they wouldn't be. Like a tree falling in the forest, did it really fall if no one or nothing conscious was around to witness it? No it didn't, the tree doesn't even exist then, nor the forest. It's so funny when people say the mind is a powerful thing, it's more than that, it's everything we do, we see, we think..it is in control of our whole world. I am learning a lot about life and the way we see it. The things that matter and the things that don't.

A few good quotes I want to remember: You must be prepared to destroy yourself in order to create yourself anew. & Life must be lived forward however it can only be understood backwards.

We can only live in this moment each new moment is completely unknown, it's only when looking back on it that we might be able to understand. Basically life only exists because our mind says it does. Your happiness is being happy with what you have and not being envious or jealous of others. It's not an easy thing to do..to think outside the box, outside of your mind and realize.........

Everything is something and nothing all at the same time. Nothing lasts forever and life and happiness are only as your perceive them to be.

I think learning about philosophy is putting my mind in the right place. It's something that interests me greatly but it's such a broad subject. These are the more broken down subjects

philosophy and history of science logic and philosophy of mathematics philosophy of psychology, mind and language* epistemology and metaphysics* ethics and political philosophy

The two with the * are what interest me the most. I wonder everyday how the human mind works, how we are all connected. Why some people are the way they are. There is no one real explanation but more of a series of many. Even when we think someone is understanding us, they are merely understanding what we say in their own way. So we are alone..........all alone....no one can hear or understand every thought in our head. No one can completely understand even one thought of ours. So we are to face this world truly alone..but connected to everyone. It makes so much sense to me now how everything can be so simple....yet look so complicated. We all have many questions...and for some maybe there really just isn't an answer, maybe we are asking the wrong question, searching for a truth that just doesn't exist. So what we must do is find what we love about life and do it, feel it, be it as much as possible. That is the only thing that can make life feel worthy...the only way we may find purpose, where clearly there is none.
