Awake among the sheep.

Empty wound,

burning cavity,

choking me in smoky despair.

Ragged scars filled the void.

Crippling loss, desperate cries,

fading into laughter.

Bitter Lie, now a joke.

Armor forged from twisted scars.

Hatred for the sheep, now melts to pity,

dripping with scorn.

A flock of fools gathers 'round,

stumbling like blind children.

So devoted, are they, to

peasant superstition.

I smile, amused,

shake my head and walk away.

I wander into darkness,

into the Night,

content to bathe in all my sins,

to wash the Lord away.
