Fetal dreams curling inward,
feeding on stray thoughts
and unformed highways,
sleeping in savage tranquility.
Beads of crimson dew glisten on
charred petals,
black roses blooming with decay.
Necrotic perfumes unravel in
the whispering air.
The serpent glides through
the twisting labyrinth,
random paths woven through
desolate mental swamplands.
Fierce eyes and a demon's grin,
he slithers in unfurling coils,
feeding on the weeping slivers of
aborted infant prayers.
The wolf stares back at me in
vagrant mirrors,
unblinking eyes filled with
 primal wisdom,
wild passions fixed in his
haunting gaze.
We regard each other knowingly,
and howl a song of
sorrow and joy to the
untamed Night.
