For Susan.
This is for her challenge, and both of the poems are inspired by her.

Susan's Challenge

I

Through damp and dark,
I found dry and light.

Tackling obstacles and enduring a deep heart,
coming to resolution and embracing the conclusion.

Life; unfair and unjust.
But determined and resolved.

However restrictive and challenging,
always delightful and zestful.

With bouncy curly yellow hair
Armored with a fair of perceptive eyes.

A heart warm and tender,
A soul kind and gentle.

You've opened eyes and enhanced minds,
and allowed a kingdom to rise!

II

Found myself alone and in darkness,
away from the light and whole.

Obstacles in life tackled me through my heart,
to reveal the resolution and allow me to embrace the conclusion.

Unjust and unfair is life,
and I am always determined and resolved.

Life restricted and challenging me all the time,
but gave me such delight and filled my days with such zest.

God gave me yellow and bouncy locks,
Armored me with a pair of perceptive eyes.

My heart is warm and tender,
I possess a soul that is kind and gentle.

Literature opened my eyes and enhanced my mind
has allowed a kingdom to rise in my heart!

Do you really see all of those things in me my friend? I loved these poems so very much. I think you give me far too much credit. I am a child among giants in the world of literature. I dabble in poetry and the telling of stories. You and some of the others here are my inspiration my dear Nazire. I like how you wrote these pieces. You did a remarkable job. I will treasure these for the rest of my life. They are perfection my friend. I especially loved the last part of the second poem it says it all. Plus the part about the bouncy yellow hair was just great. Thank you! Susan :)

Of course I do dear Susan. If I did not, I would not be able to write all of them. Well I think I read a poem of yours where you talked about your bouncy hair, so I just kind of, copied that.
But I know you told me you had curly hair and it stuck with me.
You deserved it, you're welcome, anything for you Susan :)

Timeless Thought

Now you know why I love that woman in the box above me. Great job Nazire on the write. Don't tell but the hair and bouncy curls is why I married her, plus she can cook! Gary

Those two are so silly! Like little doves or whatever. You did an excellent job on your poems. I think you and Susan are what Booksie is all about. Making friends in literature and bringing out the best in each other. Magnificent job. Good luck! Lily

I like this two poems. You wrote them with love of a friend and it works. The part about her hair caught my eye as well. Good luck but I feel you win anyway having a friend like her.

This was such a wonderful gesture. I adored the way you created them. Nicely done on those feelings of friendship. A pleasure. I do hope you win.

Oh thank you so much Myra.
Well, I didn't do this to win. Susan has read all of my work thus far, so I hope she selects someone who she hasn't read all of her work.
I wanted to pay her back a little bit :)

Very well done. I like both. Favorite lines:
With bouncy curly yellow hair
Armoured with a (pair?) of perceptive eyes. Susan is a wonderful writer and I'm glad you did this. It was well written.

Thanks. Rhythm really? I am usually horrible about stuff like that. I barely can rhyme.
Maybe similar words?
Thank you!

hey, nice writing, I enjoyed it. I think poetry is more you than the novels, you seem to have a depth that others lack. Not that your novels are flawed or anything, just that life experience lends itself to writing longer pieces and you are such a wonderful young woman yet and still got your life before you. I dare say, one day, you will write a great novel too, but I would certainly produce more poetry if I were you Nazire, you have a magic touch so rare. I think it is the classics in which you indulge so readily.

HI Paul, thank you :)
I write a lot of poetry, just don't publish them all the time. I decided I have my hands full so instead of stretching myself thin, I am going to finish writing/editing/publishing this piece first before publishing my other works. I just can't do it all.
As far as novels go, I've always written scenes just not linked, and I am not going to get better at it, unless I focus one idea and try writing. I realize my earlier attempts are going to end up down the toilet, and I will only walk away with experience to actually be able to write one in the future.
Thank you Paul though, your words and advice means so much to me.

:) That's okay, things like that happen. I realized I've missed quite a few of your poetry too. I usually like to go from the oldest to earliest, as it allows me to see patterns and the progress of the writer. (That's how I always do to myself) so it becomes a habit.

I love Susan, I am not sure what happened to her, or where she went. I sent her a few emails, I never got anything back. I am worried about her, I do hope she is okay.
