a poem i wrote for a friend i met over the internet quite some time ago.

quite some time ago, I met Nicole,,
a wonderful person, filled with soul.
over the internet we met one day,
and over the internet our friendship shall stay.

we met through a game we call DT,
this wonderful person, from over the sea.
yet with so many miles between,
she is always a friend on whom you can lean.

Dependable allies and excellent friends,

A solid friendship that never ends.

A firm friendship that we honour and respect,
an unyielding friendship that shall never be wrecked.

Yet all the while never so perfect,

Which across the internet, you can always expect.

Over the internet you can never fully trust

A truth that sometimes seems purely unjust

And being such good friends, we shall never meet,
some would say it’s incomplete.
but with a trust unique to our game,
a concrete friendship we can claim.

For such a friendship has good sides too

This simple benefit I shall review;

We see the other for who they are,

We see them and there soul, a blazing star.

So an eternal friendship we do share,

It shall eventually fade as I am aware

But always in my heart I shall remember Nicole

She has left her mark on my soul

Very good. That's the kind of friendship that I wanted on here. Just someone to talk to. I really enjoyed this poem.

Well written and expressed.

Liked the layering of the theme. For example: Meeting someone on-line who we like while realizing that person may not be, exactly, who or what we think of them. Good advice as well.

Happy trails,

Ed Bradley.
