I'm lost, the words echo through my head as I wander through the ocean of oak and birch trees, the sound of dead leaves crunch beneath my tennis shoes. I can only hear the whispers of the breeze passing on through the trees. The sky was a midnight blue and the full moon glowed against the sky. No stars glittered. There wasn't a house in sight, let alone a person.

I breathe in the thick summer air, my chocolate colored hair blew perfectly in the wind. I reach out my hand blindly, touching the bark of a tree, then resting both hands on it. Right when I was about to move on, I stumble over what could have been a root.

Suddenly I can hear the howls of large dogs, of large wolves. I feel sick to my stomach when I can see the head of one of them in the clear moonlight. I'm not sure if it can see me. I could see a small line of red on it's muzzle... something that I could have easily guessed was blood.

I take a few steps closer when I realize the wolf is walking off to where the howls continued on. I follow, only able to make out the head.

Finally the howls die away into the night. Although they were gone, I knew this was where the wolves howled long yet dreadful songs. I walk foward until I trip again. But this time, I could tell it wasn't a root of a tree. I lift my head up to see the eyes of a dead man, his eyes were widened with a clear sign of death across them. I place my hand everywhere around me until I felt what I thought was a bag of some sort. I open the zipper to find, to my releif, a flashlight. I quickly turn it on, regretting it as soon as the light blinked from dead to on.

I scream when I see it. The face of the mas was half flesh, half eaten away to the bone. Blood splattered around where his head layed. I move the fashlight more to my right, discovering more bones, blood, and an opened rib cage. One of his legs were nearly ripped clean off by the knee.

I could nearly feel the vomit rise up my throat when I hear them again. The wolves that had done this to this innocent man. They were coming close, but I stood there, panting with shock and horror. I move my flashlight up to where I can hear a growl.

A wolf curled his lips up into a snarl. His glowing eyes nearly distracted me from the fact that he was standing on his hind legs, as if a human. My eyes rise to where he had the torso of a well healthed man, except covered in fur and blood.

And that, I'm sure, was the last thing I saw when my vision was a blur of red and black, and the scent of my own blood filled my nose.
