Trick and Treat

_Trick an innocent and you will be set free_

How?

_Trick by setting a treat_

The innocent are blind by treats?

_The ones that smell so sweet-

And shine with beauty…-

You understand? _

Yes…

(Setting a pile of caramelized poultries)

A treat for an innocent and I will be free…

(Smile)

Snack! Snap! Trap!

Darn no innocents is set here only gluttony

What smells so sweet and shines with beauty?

A woman…

I will set upon jewels of the finest.

(He sets them in a pile)

Snack! Snap! Trap!

(Disappointment- “Sigh”)

Nothing here but greed

Women can’t be it, not all is innocent

Children…

(Smile)

I place a set of new toys

Snack! Snap! Trap!

(Frustration)

How can this be?

(No toy in sight, nothing in place…)

I envy those who have freedom…

I need innocence

(Disguising as a woman he speaks to him)

_Do you now…_

Huh?

_Try another tactic time is wasting_

If luxuries do not work what must I use?

_Think very hard my love_

(Pondering)

_What fools the pure hearted…_

(He smiles)

Ah yes…

Kindness

Love

Trust

Freedom will be mine

(His eyes linger on the innocent plotting)

_How I love to play with fools_ J
