I call out.

But nobody seems to hear. But that’s okay, yknow...Cause I didn’t really have anything to say anyway.

I fell asleep in the shower last night. Feeling the water fall on my skin, so relentlessly. I turned it as hot as it would go. Not caring how red my skin got. Pain? Naw, I couldn’t feel a thing.

Embrace the heat. You never know when you’re gonna be left out in the cold.

Someone is talking to me. What are they saying? Hell if I know. They don’t speak my language. I don’t understand. I try to make that clear, but the only noises that come out are blurry and slurred.

I can’t help it. I'm just an alien. I’ve lost my mothership. No way to get home.

The black cloud over head appears to be menacing. Try as it might, it can’t scare me. I’ve been acquainted with the dark. I consider it a close friend. The only ally I’ve got when I turn from everyone else.

Wrong, is it?

Well tell me, then what is right? Never mind, save your breath, I can’t understand. Remember?

Incomprehensible. Too far away. You can’t catch me.

But please don’t try. I know you wish to take my hand, and lead my down the right path. But the train I'm on is speeding in the opposite direction. I’m off to Neverland. Where nobody grows up. In the land of the forever innocent.

I’ve written down the directions. I’ve got them in my head.

Someday, I’ll make it home!

“Second star to the right and straight on till morning!”

If you look hard enough, you’ll see me among the stars.

Don’t forget to look up.

You never know what may land on your head!
