Growing

Growing, growing is all you do.

You never stop to take a break.

When I see you,

It’s someone different.

Someone taller, smarter, even more active.

Where did the time go?

Where have I been?

Your growing is upsetting.

One day, one day you won’t see me as you do now.

One day I’ll be older sister,

Older sister who’s not fun.

One day there will be no more “adventures”.

One day there will be no more “hunts”.

One day.

Until that one day,

I’m the older sister who knows everything.

Older sister who’s fun,

Older sister who always knows where the “monsters” are.

Older sister who always knows where to find you.

Older sister whom you look up to,

And adore.

But I will always be,

Older sister who loves you,

And older sister who cares.

Older sister who will always be there.
