Stop

Feeding me

Telling me

Things that were never true

Scream with me

Lie to me

Oh the things we never do

Will haunt me

Remember me

I’ll never know it hit

Like a memory

Created

In ignorant bliss

Stop

Calculating

Sanity

Based on

Your reality

Stop

Pushing me

Telling me

How you know

I ought to be

You’re

Killing me

Drilling in me

A hole that can’t be filled

Stop

Loving me

Your loving me

Is a bitter pill

Stop

Being there

When I’m not

Ready to unlock

The pieces

Scattered pieces

Of a messed up heart

The pieces

Those pieces you

Conveniently forgot

Stop!

Loving me

You’re lovingly

Persecuting me

For feeling things

Hiding things

Trying to keep veiled

What’s killing me

The veins of me

Take it from my skin

Its

Damaging

When

I

Let

You

In

A long time ago

I let it go

But it held onto

Me

This leprosy

You gave to me

Is burning all I win

Every battle

Every trial

Every tear

Every try

I

Wonder

Why

After every night

Every fight

Every word

Every cry

I used to let you inside

Engraved a key

Into the wall

I built for you and me

Like the branches of a tree

One heart

Too many branches

Fell apart

Where we landed

We broke

Into shattered

Little

Hearts.
