I was inspired to write this poem after hearing the song Unity by Queen Latifah.

Excuse me, I may be a grand dame or a classy broad.
So don't you dare call me a bitch or a hoe!
As women we should show unity about the way we're treated.
I'm not naming names or trashing all of the male gender,
Because even some women we know can do this too.
No person has the right to beat us or put us down.
All this emotional, mental, and physical abuse is wrong.
Tell the abusive fool to go screw themselves and leave that person alone.
Life is too damned short to live with all this bull shit and inequality.
As a woman we should always be strong, independent females.
Don't allow passionate love or raging lust make you loose your identity as a woman.
I write this poem of unity to pontificate womankind's future.
Ladies, let's celebrate the grand dame, the classy broad, bitches, and even the hoes.
Yes, I called women bitches and hoes, I earned that right because I'm a broad.
No, I'm no silly fool, W O M A N is who and what I am.
