I'm not sure if this counts as an urban legend or not but I heard this story from South Carolina about a kid who went missing back in 1987....

In 1987 15 year old  "Tyler Johnson" was vacationing with his parents at a beach house, the house was pretty big it had a total of 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. He chose to sleep in the basement of the beach house. It was around 1:30 in the morning he was bored and went to the rec room, right outside his bedroom and decided it would be fun to flick the lights on and off for fun.

Well it so happened a serial killer was in the area and saw this. He took notice that it was just a kid and when the kid went to bed the man took a lock pick and broke into the house. The boy woke up to a loud noise outside his bedroom door.

Before he could do anything the door swung open and the man charged at Tyler, he forced him out of the bed and forced Tyler outside of his house. The next morning his parents went in shock of the disappearance. They called the police and at the crime scene there was a message near the side of the beach house that read

"I struck again"

The cop immediately cringed, and told my parents it was the work of the serial killer who recently broke out of jail who goes after easy targets, easy kids and he's known as

"the Flickering Lights Killer"
