Trembling and lying weakly on the ground, the smell of damp earth stirred in my nose. I didn't move my head. I lay listening to the trickle of a murky stream that lay by me. They're was a murmer of people in the distance but i took no notice. I could feel the dampness of the moss on my skin, the water seeping through my clothes so they clung to me. Soon i became uncomfortable, yet i still didnt stir. The murmer of the people came closer. I still lay with my eyes closed, hoping they wouldn't find me and disapper. After what seemed like hours they're chatting had completely dissapeared, leaving me free to leave. I wisked open my eyes, and took in the sight of the forest floor i had been lying on. I raised my head to see fallen tree's covered in moss, ivy clinging to the tree's for dear life and the stream i thought was ages away was little more than a mini stream sitting two feet from me. I stretched my gaze further up to find a the tree tops towering towards the sky, little light breaking through. Somehow i felt small and lost.

I fully pulled myself up off the ground, stretching as i did. The wet clothes still clinging to me. With a sigh my stomach gave me a little growl. After not eating in days it was getting pretty roudy, and i wanted it to be satisfied. I looked around for any signs of fruit or anything, but nothing struck me as food. Having escaped from my house, i knew the voices i heard earlier was a search party, well retrival as i would call it. They would most likely take me back and beat me till i was near death, then they would make me the slave of the house again.

I decided my best bet was to head deeper into the forest. As i made my way through the tree's, digging my way through branches and leaves, i came across an old campfire. Looking like it had been long avandoned i started to think to myself. But before i could come up with any ideas, a russel in the bushes behind me made me turn and gasp in shock. In the process i fell over a log, and landed on my bum.

Looking up to see what had startled me, i saw a figure of a very handsome boy, i blushed at my stupidity and tried to get up. He offered me a hand up and i gladly took it. Smiling at him he stated, "It's nice to meet someone else my age, I'm Tiger. And you are?" I didn't look him in the face but whispered "I'm April. Nice to meet you. Sorry but you gave me a fright you see" He chuckled at this causing my cheeks to brighten an even deeper red. "Follow me" He turned and walked away in the direction he had come, foolishly i followed, although i had no other option really did i?

Tiger walked just a little ahead of me, i followed like a dog following his master. There was just something about him that made me feel safe. After about 2 hours walking i was getting pretty tired, he often asked if i wanted to rest but i said the sooner we get to safety the better. I was infact more curious about where he was taking me. We broke through a set of tree's and there was a small cave, delicate looking, and well lived in. I followed him through the entrance of the cave and found myself in a well lit but basic furnished room. I sat and drank the tea he had made me. Speaking only little, but he himself was a talker.

"So April... what brings you to the forest?" I went quiet for a long time, finally exclaiming. "I'm an escaped slave of the huge house on the hill". At this he choked on his tea he had just swallowed. "WOAH April, that's one posh place there. Although i hate everything about that place. You seem different though... something about you is different." At this i blushed again, drinking my tea to hide my embarrasement. Tiger however noticed this, smiling gently he looked into my eyes. "You are one lovely young girl, April. And i can see you have pure blood" This startled me a bit but i smiled all the same.

With this he seemed satisfied that i had warmed up and dried a bit. He took my hand and made me stand. He started to dance with me slowly in circles. I found this strange but didn't bother much. I was enjoying my time with Tiger.

Suddenly he kissed my cheek. It took me by so much surprise i stopped dancing in slow circles with him. He looked at me tenderly and stroked my neck. "Don't be afraid". He kissed mouth then along my cheek bone, further along to my ear, gently kissing my neck. All the while still moving in slow circles. Then surprisingly...

He bite me.

I was so stunned i fell over, him still attached in my neck. He landed on top of me, his weight crushing down on me. A single tear escaped from my eye.

i could feel his teeth in my neck, they weren't moving at all. I tried to jerk away but they wouldn't budge. I could feel him suck at my blood, my throat became dry and tight, i gasped for air but couldn't breathe. I began to feel dizzy, and i could feel Tiger's hand supporting the back of my head. It didn't last long, after he had done he picked me up off the floor. I was so petrified he was going to eat me i started to scream this thought at him, he chuckled and stated "I love you, why would i eat you?" With this statment buzzing around in my head i began to think i could be more than a personal blood bank. My protector. Wrapping my arms around his neck, i kissed him ever so gently on the cheek and said, "Love you too."
