loss of a son in a crash.

A pillow of pain.

Taken to her bed she has,

Can’t cope with all the grief,

Pain so deep inside,

Fate the cruel thief.

Her son, her beautiful son,

So young, tender in years,

Why she doesn’t know,

The pillow absorbs her pitiful tears.

The driver said he just stepped out,

Couldn’t stop in time,

He too is a victim,

Yet he feels like he committed a terrible crime.

So she stays in her bed alone,

For many nights she will cry,

Her son, her beautiful son gone,

Forever the same question asked, why.
