A Sibling rift.

What now for us I ask,
Is this as far as we go,
Have we nothing left to offer each other,
I don’t think either of us know.

We differ so much on everything,
Yet in our hearts and minds we still care,
We just can’t see what each other see’s,
All our emotions now lie bare.

The longer this goes on,
The harder it gets,
What is there to gain,
But so many painful regrets.

Now we just keep a distance,
Send birthday cards and a gift,
But I just hope before tragedy strikes,
For both our sakes we heal this painful rift.
