God Of Wonder

Hi, mi name is awe

I am God of wonder

For many years
in your childhood I lived
we played by day
pillaged and plundered
just like vikings at the
sound of the thunder.

Now I lay in a slumber
I am God no more and
I became the dragon
we once fought.

My days are numbered
for I await to die while
guarding the treasures
we once tried to Hide.

All I ask while you slay me
Is to kill me with contempt
for you are killing a friend
not a beast, not a threat.

Nightkat.
