His Eyes

His eyes are as blue as the sky
On a clear summer day,
His eyes are as deep as a bottomless pool
In which I could drown forever.

When he’s happy, they twinkle merrily
Like the brightest star,
But when he’s angry, they glint dangerously
And become twin pools of ice.

One look from them
Has the power to hold me in a trance,
And melt me to within an inch of my bones.
When his eyes stare into mine
They stare into my very soul it seems,
All my secrets laid bare for them to see.

Oh, I could go on and on about them,
To no avail,
For all the words in the world aren’t enough
To describe their beauty.
