A poem I came up with last night. A story about a young girl in the holocaust. Her feelings, her worries and my way to pay my respect.

Oh Auschwitz!

My ghetto was a heaven,

when I came to you I fell to hell.

It's been many long years,

when asked about home,

I don't know what to tell.

My childhood is a dream on my chest,

the sun rising over another corpse,

that didn't even get to rest.

Oh, Birkenau! The wind blowing,

taking our ashes,

the pain in my heart growing.

Oh, Aushcwitz!

Can't you remember?

The lonely girl,

my own family member.

Gone with the wind,

the sorrow, mourn and bad,

Oh, Birkenau! You took them,

and I can't have them back!

The sun rising up,

red light being casted on the chamber of death,

how many of us, destroyed?

Gone with the wind.

Oh Auschwitz!

I am begging you.

Release me, let me go,

I am sure this is something you know.

When I will walk to face my death?

I can't live anymore, I am not a human,

I can't take another deep breathe.

Let me be another victim,

who dies on your arms.

Oh Birkenau! Can't you see my tear striped cheeks?

I am crying, with my full heart.

Let me go, let me go.

Gone but never released.
