WEIGH YOUR WORDS AND KNOW THE COST
Don’t speak if you don’t know
It’s like an arrow shot from the bow
How meaningless the words that weigh so low
Speak if your mind and heart together go
Don’t utter if you are not sure
Speak little but think more
Your words are like footprints near the shore
Speak to others from inner core
A wrong statement if you say,
later you will have to pay.
Better be speechless but don’t choose the problematic way
Speak as if your words could light up as a ray
We won’t get comments as we expect
so, better save your self-respect
as nobody is perfect
so, protect yourself from regret.
If you are in the crowd, you better be lost
but weigh your words and know the cost.

"If you are in the crowd, you better be lost..." I disagree with this statement. When I am in a crowd I look for the leader and discern where does the leader want to lead. Often, due to my personality, I will assume or usurp the leadership and go from there.

A word of kindness is seldom spoken in vain, while witty sayings are as easily lost as the pearls slipping from a broken string. Like this poem, would like to read more of your work.
