The sky promised me the moon
A silver beam across my lover’s chest
A ray so perfect
That it would burn the stars right out of the sky

But the sky lied
The sky brought a new day
One of change
A day where I woke with tears on my pillow

The sky laughs at me
He mocks me every morning with the rising sun
Damn the foolish sky
For saying that day would never come
