This room is darker than I remember
A little dustier,
A few more cobwebs
A little colder,
The candle dies.
The windows are covered,
Daylight distinguished,
The walls are empty,
My memories erased.
What was once home
Silence steals from my heart
Until time disappears
 And hope returns.
