Summary

I've been sifting through my old work left unpublished and I thought this one was worth sharing. :)

Her fingers curl the length of the handle
As she drinks her morning camomile
Prepared by you in her favourite mug,
Lovingly, with a smile
Steam wets her lips just like a kiss
Long awaited in those restless hours
Of which she spent thinking of you,
As you slept through the April showers
She keeps looking up from her paper
At the blinds she knows you’ve left closed
For the privacy of your last moment
Before she has to go
Now,she recalls the taste of your lips
So pained with such sweet denial
and thinks of you now with every sip
Of her morning camomile
