We used to sit and watch the tide
Listening to whispers of a foreign sea
Angry though they came to rest
Leaving drops of salt on our sandy feet
*
We used to breath in the same bask air
Protected from her furious heat
Laughing and playing hand in hand
Till Sun turned away in envy
*
We used to run along side by side
Singing misty blue into the ocean breeze
Till Ocean crept up on us
Washing with it that memory
*
Now you both sit and watch the tide
Ocean just as angry as the Sun envy
While I watch from a distance
Where I see you but you don’t see me
