This poem is for people who escape death and they live to tell their experience.

Her journey was a long one,

she wondered when she will reach home,

bad luck she got, her car stopped,

that was late in the night, the moon was out

frustrated she was

‘hope for a miracle

A movement she heard

‘hello!’ but that was a mistake

She was far from her car

‘grrrr’ was the reply!

Horror she saw

She ran like a cheetah

Back to her car

‘grrrr’ the sound,

 around her car

on top of her car

‘grrrr’ the sound was gone

Morning came and there was help

A near death with a tiger.

The carnival was colourful

He loved it so much

‘let it not end’ he said

Rampage! He saw

The interruption he wondered

He hoped it was not bad

‘what’s the problem?’ he thought

‘Bang!’ bang!’ was the reply

People were falling

He was now in the midst of the dead

Nowhere to hide?

Under the dead, a quick thought

He buried himself

Footsteps he heard

‘A bad guy?’ he thought

Was he dead? Was the check

His hand was touched!

‘Bang!’ by his side

Footsteps gone

Hours later and there was help

A near death with a psycho.

Nnedi, hi! Your poem goes in a sort of 'crescendo', suspense escalades! For me it is such an unusual topic that it took me by surpise. Congratulations! Hope you drop by my page too! See you, Ana Esther
