Sometimes I wish...
My soul could flit away
And leave this life far behind
Soaring freely through miles of blue unending
It seems the only way; to start anew

Sometimes I feel as if...
I am sitting cross-legged on the sea floor
Peering above through feet of water
Seeing the sun and longing for it's warmth
Lingering among the swaying seaweed

Sometimes I want...
To stand solitary in the rain
Close weary eyes and spin in water cascading
As it washes me away piece by jumbled piece
Until what I was is no more

Sometimes I long...
For the cover of invisibility
To float unseen through everyday cobwebs
To wander without a single restriction
Vanishing like an old magician's act

Sometimes I feel...
As if I am hopelessly lost
Tangled in the recesses of my mind
Unable to escape my own churning labyrinth
Or waiting for a train that will never arrive

But sometimes...
If I am lucky
Still and very quiet
I will find a ray of light
Floating peacefully among the tangles and tricks
And sometimes
I can grasp it
And it's gentle glimmer gives me the hope
To continue this journey

Onward.
