This was something I just had to do for a project in my English class. It was a timed writing of an essay. The prompt was "Describe your favorite place and explain why you like it so much." So, I picked Japan. I really have no clue why I'm putting it up. I guess it's just to show a little bit more about me and also I think it may be decent looking. lol
So yeah, Hope you like! Hope its not too boring. =)

Japan! Yes, Japan is my favorite place. Why? Well, you’re just going to have to read and find out. It has been my favorite place for a long time, I have always dreamed of going there. It’s just such a wonderful place, and hopefully one day I’ll get my wish of going there.

The first reason I like it so much is the entertainment. Japan has wonderful entertainment. A few of my favorite are the anime. Did you know the most of your anime shows you watch are from Japan? They are released there first, and then translated into English. Some examples of my favorite anime shows are: Blood +, Inuyasha, Naruto, Wolf’s Rain, and a lot more.  They have great games that haven’t been released in the U.S yet. They are in Japanese, but hey, they get to play them first. While the United States are waiting for them to be translated, most of Japan has probably already beaten the games by then. It could take up to a couple of years before they get it all translated. That’s a long time. Shopping is another awesome entertainment in Japan. They have all these great Japanese stores. It would be really awesome to go and shop all day buying all these neat things. Then, don’t forget there selection of Mangas they have. I love to read, and manga is one of the things I like to read.

Then, comes the Scenery and attractions. Japan is absolutely beautiful.  I would love to go to Mount Fuji. It is the highest mountain in Japan. It stands up to 3,776 m (12,388 ft) high and it’s surrounded by five lakes. Which are Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Yamanakam Lake Sai, Lake Motosu and Lake Shoji.  Nijo castle would be a second choice I would go to. It’s in Kyoto. The castle has two concentric rings of fortifications, the Ninomaru palace and the ruins of the Honmaru Palace; various support buildings and several gardens. The surface area of the castle is about 275,000 square meters. Which 8,000 square meters is occupied by buildings. Then, Universal Studios Japan would be an awesome and fun place to visit. It is located in Osaka, Japan. It is one of the three Universal Studios them parks. It is similar to the Universal Orlando Resort, at which it contains many of the same rides.

Lastly comes the culture. Japanese culture is really interesting. Japanese language is really interesting and is beautiful. It may be a little hard to learn to people who don’t know Japanese, but it seems amazing. I would love to finish learning Japanese. The history is another thing that is really amazing. Just everything that happened in Japan, I would love to learn as much as I can about it. I would love to go to one of the many museums in Japan. The education there is amazing. Japan is widely known for its well-maintained educational system and excellent achievements. Japanese children who have taken international test for mathematics have consistently ranked at or near the top. I would love to be really good in math.

So, now you know what my favorite place is and why. But, those are just a few reasons. Japan is a truly amazing place and I can’t wait to visit someday. The entertainment, scenery and attractions, and culture are beautiful and really exciting. You should try visiting it sometime.
