The sun-deprived skin should have burnt like dry leaves,
Turned to ash and curdled smoke.
A noxious scent the whole room breathes.
Pressed hair flipped, the bronchi choke.
And leather smells like death,
Snagging bones that broke twice.
The sugar-tinted breath,
Of a girl with skin like ice.
