Longing for my Baby

While longing,
I wait for you;
Yearn to gaze
Into your eyes.

Long to hold,
To kiss and hug;
To count toes.
It's no surprise.

Rocking you
To sleep at night
Is a dream
Carried inside.

Loving you
Comes easily.
You're still alive.
I heave a sigh.

Today is good.
I feel at peace.
Joy abounds
Within my soul...

But night falls
And then I find
Alone, again,
I dream inside...
