In the depths of the earth
surrounded by darkness,
I have found a secret chamber
of wonder and amazement.
There, on a golden bed,
lies Eros, draped in dreams,
cradling a sweet maiden,
Psyche, in soft white plumage.
Hung in the air
clinging to dark walls
are the thoughts
of all who love.
There I found myself
and my beloved
wrapped in treasures
too rich for sleep.

Beautiful poem and imagery :) I like the smart/classy idea of using the gods to depict loved ones, and even love itself. Nice flow as well! -Tan

Haha! Believe it or not, I got some of my inspiration for this one from the 2nd National Treasure movie (the underground temple).... But also from the sculpture of eros and psyche by Canova, I guess. One of my favorite sculptures for all time, I think.
